Hello everyone, and welcome to the very first development update from Numb Chicken Studio!
Today, we would like to introduce our current project: Project Osiris. It is a relaxing color-by-number game for mobile devices, where players gradually bring beautiful images to life by filling in numbered areas with the correct colors.
Where are we right now?
Project Osiris is still in an early stage of development. However, we have already completed several important foundations:
🎨 The first playable system is working
The game’s basic flow has been implemented and can already be tested directly.
🔢 Numbered areas can be selected and colored
The core feature of a color-by-number game is functional: players can select a color and use it to fill in the corresponding areas of an image.
📱 The first user interface has been created
Buttons, color selection, and the basic layout of the playing area are in place and responding as intended.
🧪 The first tests have been completed successfully
The features implemented so far are working reliably together. This gives us a stable foundation on which we can build the next systems.
What comes next?
During the next stages of development, we want to improve and expand the overall experience. Our upcoming plans include:
intuitive controls for smartphones and tablets,
zooming and moving around the image,
a clear and accessible image selection menu,
saving the player’s progress,
visual and audio feedback while coloring,
and, of course, the first fully playable images.
Because Project Osiris is still in active development, its design, features, and systems may continue to change. We want to share that entire journey with you—from the first working prototypes all the way to the finished game.
